Ooops, Yves Guillemots accidently confirms Red Steel 2 for Wii

Red Steel. In the beginning, most pretended to have liked the game, but I think by now we can safely assume most gamers didn't.
Clunky controls, over-hyped under delivered visuals, sub-par presentation with half-baked screenshots to tell the story. It was clearly rushed out for launch. For a new franchise, it sold pretty well, with total sales of 1.08 million worldwide.
Since launch it had been rumoured at Ubi was working on a sequel (even a job posting was uploaded specifically stating a role for "The Red Steel Project"), but for one reason or another Ubisoft declined mentioning it officially.
Technically, they still haven't, officially, depending on how you look at it. During a conference call Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemots found himself saying too much.
"We have lots of products coming for the Wii next [fiscal] year. We have Red Steel --," he said, before stopping himself and apologising to the media. Ooops, shouldn't have said that one.
But why? If Ubi has been working on the game for so long, why wouldn't they want to get people excited for it?
Maybe they didn't want a repeat of the dissapointment that plagued the original. Or maybe (and here's the optimistic gamer in me speaking) they're onto something special and don't want to let the cat out of the bag until the right time.
Afterall, Wii MotionPLUS is just around the corner, with nearly 1to1 motion recognition. Who's up for some realistic limb chopping?
