According to Nielsen research: People prefer playing the original Xbox over PS3.
If you've been following the sales results on 2008 then you wouldn't find it too hard to believe that people are playing the Wii and Xbox 360 far more than they would be playing the PS3. In fact, the PS2 was selling like hotcakes throughout last year and everyone you know has one -- so perhaps even that ancient wonder of the world would also beat out the PS3.
But according to the Nielsen Media research group, the PS3 comes in 5th in data collect for 2008's "Video Game Console Usage". Basically, it's a poll that asks how long and on what console each entrant plays the most.
The PS2 came in first, the 360 second and the Wii third. You'd think the PS3 would be fourth, but no.. the original Xbox takes that spot. The original Xbox.
It's a bitter-sweet situation for Sony. To come in first and almost last. But hey -- at least they have such a large install base with the PS2 that once that elusive price cut comes our way, customers should be all over it -- right? Right?!
Well at least it would finally beat out the Xbox (originalle).
